MISSION STATEMENT
Teaching and learning is a collaborative process. Always meeting students where they are begins a process that gives students a starting place to develop a learning plan that accommodates the individual learning style of each student. Understanding individual learning styles is the starting point on the pathway to reaching individual goals.
My Background

I have taught in hundreds of classrooms, and I have met hundreds of students. I have collaborated with teachers and administrators in various school districts. I have helped families create learning plans for their children.
I hold a B.A. in English and Textual Studies and Public Relations, and an M.S. in Secondary English Education from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. I have earned New York State Teacher Certification in Secondary English Education.
In my experience, it is important for students to create a learning plan as the first step to having a successful school year.
Once students understand their learning styles, they can adapt it to academics, sports, and social activities.
And, most importantly, students will have the confidence to be an advocate for themselves.
